Arriving from the direction of South Buda or Keleti train station, take bus #7 and get off at Blaha Lujza square which is in the close neighbourhood of the university. Arriving from Pesterzsebet take bus #99, while from the direction of Kobanya and Pestszentlorinc take bus #217 and get off right next to the university building.


You may take tram #4 or #6 both rides through the center of Pest and has a stop at Blaha Lujza square. When you get off the tram and you are facing towards the underground passage, turn to the opposite and start walking to reach Nepszinhaz street. You will find yourself at the university building.


Metro line #2 has a stop at Blaha Lujza square therefore, it is the most suggested way to reach the university. The metro directly links "Óbudai Egyetem Bánki Donát Mechanical and Security Departments and the South or East train stations. If you get off at Nepstadion stop you will reach the long distance running bus station.

Metro line #4 has a stop at Rakoczi ter which is the nearest stop to Blaha Lujza square.


Arriving from the airport you may take bus #200E and reach Metro line #3. Metro lines #3 and #4 have connection point to take you to Blaha Lujza square.

Minibus or taxi services are also available from the airport.

Train stations

Arriving from any of the Budapest train stations you may take the closest metro lines as described above. You can choose minibus services also.


If you are planning to arrive by car you need to get to Nagykorut (grand boulevard of Pest). The universtiy is placed near to the connection of Blaha Lujza square, Erzsebet korut and Jozsef korut. Arriving from Rakoczi street or from Nagykorut you need to turn to Csokonai street to reach the university's own parking lot.


The university's parking lot has a limited capability. In case of events we suggest to find place in the nearby streets (Csokonai, Europeum plaza).
