The institute is responsible for the vehicle technology, aeronautical, and combat vehicle engineering specialisations in mechanical engineering training, while for the industrial robot systems specialisation in the mechatronical engineering training program available in Hungarian and English.
After the introduction of the F curriculum in 2023, we will also start a specialization in robotics and intelligent control systems in the BSc course in mechatronics. Our curricula are available at the link below.
These are the students with whom the institute has the closest contact – giving lectures in most subjects, organising their internships and preparing them for their final exams. They prepare their thesis here, take their final exams organised by the Institute, and use this opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge acquired at university and defend their thesis.
The Institute is also responsible for subjects in the fields of informatics, analogue and digital circuits, control engineering, pneumatics and hydraulics, and heat and flow technology, among others, in the professional knowledge.
We have equipped our mechanical engineering laboratory with the necessary equipment for teaching the subjects of internal combustion engines, maintenance technology, vehicle diagnostics and heat and flow technology.
The high quality teaching of the subjects Industrial Robot Systems I-II, Vehicle Mechatronics, Programmable Control Circuits, and Programming Languages required significant laboratory development. Our laboratories also house a PLC-controlled PTP, computer-controlled CP-controlled Descartes coordinate robot built from proprietary linear EC servo drives, and a mechatronic test unit for determining the characteristics of various electrical actuators.
To teach the solution of complex mechatronic problems, a sample system for the recognition and classification of workpieces made of different materials was developed, in which our students also participated with Scientific Student Conference (TDK) work.
