The Bánki Welcome Festival, the well-being training program of Obuda University, reached the finals

On March 12, 2026, the “Év Trénere” (Trainer of the Year) award ceremony of the Trainer Training Camp Association was held at the MEMO Ház, which is one of the prestigious professional events in the Hungarian training industry. It is a great pleasure and pride for us that the Welcome Festival, a well-being training program jointly implemented by Csilla Békevári and Zsuzsa Varga, was among the finalists in the “Training Methodology in Education” category, based on the decision of the professional jury.

It is a great recognition for us that the Bánki student well-being program could receive such prestigious professional attention. The Welcome Festival brings the tools of training methodology to the world of higher education and supports the development of soft skills of students at the Obuda University Bánki Donát Faculty.

The goal of the program is for engineering students to develop key skills such as self-awareness, communication, cooperation and critical thinking in addition to professional knowledge. These competencies are now essential parts of a successful engineering career and effective teamwork, which is why soft skill development is an increasingly important pillar of student training.

Reaching the finals is also a success for the entire community and reinforces our belief that an experience-based, community-building educational methodological approach also has an important place in higher education.
A special thank you to our volunteer trainers, who spare no time and energy to support us on this journey. Without their help, this program would not have been possible!
