Successful professional report on HTEC 2025

On October 2, 2025, the faculty members of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Technology held their professional report on the Frangepán campus.
During the presentations, which were highly attended, our colleagues presented their experiences gained at the 18th Haas Technical Educators Conference (HTEC) held in Belleville, USA, and provided an insight into the professional life of Southwestern Illinois College and the teaching and educational tasks, all in the form of an understandable and exciting report that was also interesting for the students present.

The goal of the HTEC conference was to connect teachers, industry partners, and educational professionals teaching CNC technology, while presenting the latest developments in the field of machining and manufacturing.

Following the detailed reports of Viktor Ráczi and István Burai, Dr. György Czifra presented the Institute’s plans for the transformation/renewal of our large machine workshop to the audience, highlighting the design tasks carried out by the student working group involved, as well as the use of the experiences gained in the United States in the design.

We were particularly pleased that György Péntek, the operational and sales manager of Haas Factory Outlet, also participated in the event.
