Recognition for Prof. Dr. Edit Ludányi-Laufer | HTE Top 50 Women in Artificial Intelligence

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Edit Ludányi-Laufer, Head of the Institute of Mechatronics and Vehicle Engineering at the Bánki Faculty of Obuda University, has been honored in the HTE (Scientific Association for Infocommunications) initiative, Top 50 Women in Artificial Intelligence.

The HTE Top 50 Women in Artificial Intelligence initiative aims to highlight and recognize exceptional women professionals whose expertise and responsible contributions are shaping the development of Artificial Intelligence in Hungary.

The list celebrates engineers, researchers, educators, and business leaders who are actively working in fields where Artificial Intelligence has a tangible impact on industry, education, and science. Beyond recognition, the initiative also seeks to foster connection and collaboration between individuals and organizations committed to the responsible and value-driven application of AI.

Our new Bánki professors were honored on University Day

Obuda University, our technical higher education institution, is celebrating its 15th anniversary since its founding and its 145th anniversary when including its predecessor institutions. The university has now ranked between 601–800 in the Times Higher Education rankings. At the jubilee event held on November 22, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector; László Bódis, Deputy State Secretary for Innovation; and Dr. András Cser-Palkovics, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rudolf Kalman Foundation for Obuda University, all highlighted the university’s impressive advancement of approximately 1,400 positions on the international ranking list.

At the event, Prof. Dr. Béla Merkely, Rector of Semmelweis University of Medical Sciences, was inaugurated as an honorary doctor of Obuda University. Additionally, the university’s new professors were also honored during the celebration.
