New Table Tennis Tables Installed at the Frangepán Street Campus

🏓 A sound mind in a sound body! | New table tennis tables have arrived on our campuses

Sports play a central role in the life of Obuda University—not only because they promote a healthy lifestyle, but also because they actively contribute to community building. The newly installed table tennis tables in community spaces offer students and staff the chance to enjoy active relaxation after studying or working, while also strengthening university culture through shared experiences.

At the Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering, located at the Frangepán Street campus, the new tables were inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector, Prof. Dr. Zoltán Rajnai, Vice-Rector General, Dr. habil. Tibor Farkas, Dean, and Dr. Zsuzsa Csepeli.

The University’s commitment to supporting sports continues at the institutional level as well: our sports club, OE-Kandó SC, has recently expanded with a new table tennis division, open to anyone who wishes to practice the sport more seriously and on a regular basis.

The installation of the tables is not limited to the Frangepán Street campus—new opportunities for sports have also been created across several Budapest faculties and at the Székesfehérvár campus.

💪 Obuda University aims to make everyday student life ever more inspiring through initiatives that support both physical and mental well-being—because a strong community is always more than the sum of its individuals.
