Between 27 and 30 November 2025, the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy in Romania hosted the professional event Defense X Hackathon, where Obuda University was represented by three BSc students in cybersecurity engineering from the Bánki Faculty.

In addition to expanding their knowledge through workshops, the participants also presented their own development, the Bánki Cyber Range, thereby both contributing valuable expertise to and gaining new insights from the international professional community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our students on their outstanding performance!

The delegation was also joined by Dr. Tibor Farkas, habil., Dean of the Bánki Faculty, who, during discussions with the founder of the event, Dr. Alexandru Babos, Lieutenant Colonel and Associate Professor, emphasized:
“Strengthening common European security and defense is the responsibility of all stakeholders. Our university contributes to this cooperation through its engineering and technical expertise, professional education, and dedicated students.”

Participation in Defense X aligns well with Obuda University’s commitment to ensuring that its students acquire up-to-date, practice-oriented technical knowledge while building increasingly strong international partnerships.
