Presentation of the Golden Commemorative Diplomas
On 19 November 2025, as part of the Hungarian Science Celebration program series, the Golden Commemorative Diplomas were awarded. The distinction was presented to engineers who obtained their degrees in 1975 at the university’s predecessor institution, the Bánki Donát College of Mechanical Engineering, and who worked in their respective fields for at least 30 years.
The ceremonial event was held in two sessions. In the first session, the attending alumni were welcomed by Dr. Richárd Horváth, Vice-Dean for Research of the Faculty, who, following a brief look back at the past, also provided an overview of the university’s current status, recent developments, and its outstanding position in academic rankings. The second session was opened by Prof. Dr. Tünde Anna Kovács, Vice-Dean for Education, followed by a festive address delivered by Dr. Béla Palásti-Kovács, Vice-Dean, who had previously taught several of the awardees.
Before the presentation of the diplomas, the audience enjoyed a musical performance by László Kiss, Béres Ferenc Award and Regnum Marianum Award–winning folk singer and musician.
Following the musical interlude, the diplomas were presented to graduates of the General Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology Engineering, Systems Organization Engineering, and Technical Teacher programs.
