Another Successful Open Day at Bánki

On 2 December 2025, our third Open Day of the year was held, which—much to our delight—once again attracted a large number of secondary school students.

The event was opened by Dr. Richárd Horváth, Vice-Dean for Research, followed by faculty and program presentation sessions in chronological order. Mátyás Balogh, our international relations officer, provided a general introduction to the Bánki Faculty; Regő Rédei, President of the Student Union, presented details of student life; and Prof. Dr. Gábor Kiss, Director of the Institute of Safety Science and Cyber Defense, delivered presentations on the Safety Engineering and Cybersecurity Engineering programs.

The Mechanical Engineering program was introduced by Dr. Viktor Gonda, habil., Head of the Department of Materials Technology at the Institute of Mechanical and Technology Engineering, while the Mechatronics Engineering program was presented by Dr. István Nagy, Deputy Director of the Institute of Mechatronics and Vehicle Engineering.

At the end of the presentations, as a lighter activity, Virág Fehér, a board member of the Student Union responsible for PR and events, invited the students to take part in a quiz. We would like to congratulate the top three participants, who received Bánki gift packages in recognition of their outstanding performance. Following the presentations, students had the opportunity to tour our workshops and laboratories, and then return to the conference room for informal discussions with our students, lecturers, and representatives of our corporate dual-training partners. Grundfos, MVM, and Rosenberger were also represented at the event. We would like to thank our colleagues, lecturers, and students for their active participation, extend our appreciation to the staff of the Dean’s Office for the excellent organization, and thank our partner companies for enriching the Open Day program of the Bánki Faculty with their presence.
