Budapest Ösztöndíj Program 2022/2023

Ismét meghirdeti a Budapest Ösztöndíj Programot a Fővárosi Önkormányzat, amely program keretében felsőfokú tanulmányokat folytató, nappali tagozatos hallgatók számára nyílik lehetőség, hogy 5 hónapon keresztül szakmai anyagok és konzultációs lehetőségek biztosítása által lehetőséget kapjanak kutatásra, majd tanulmány készítésére.

A Programban legfeljebb 20 fő nappali tagozatos, osztatlan, alap- vagy mesterképzésben részt vevő, egyetemi vagy főiskolai hallgató vehet részt, aki:
- valamely fővárosi székhelyen vagy telephelyen működő felsőoktatási intézménnyel hallgatói jogviszonnyal áll;
- a jelentkezést megelőző két lezárt, ennek hiányában egy lezárt tanulmányi félévben átlagosan legalább 4,00 súlyozott tanulmányi átlaggal rendelkezik;
- angol, német vagy francia legalább középfokú, államilag elismert nyelvvizsgával rendelkezik;
- vállalja, hogy a fogadó szervezetek valamelyikénél az ösztöndíjas időszak alatt a mentorral egyeztetett ütemterv alapján hetente legalább 20 órában (ebből hetente legalább 10 órát a fogadó szervezetnél eltöltve) a rábízott, a fogadó szervezetek tevékenysége szempontjából releváns kutatási feladatokat ellátja;
- vállalja, hogy az ösztöndíjas időszak alatt legalább egy és legfeljebb négy, összesen legalább 60 000 karakter (másfél szerzői ív lábjegyzetek nélkül) terjedelmű tanulmányt készít a mellékelt, a fogadó szervezetek által megadott, mentor által jóváhagyott, az ösztöndíjas tevékenységéhez kapcsolódó témában, melyet a mentora ötfokozatú skálán, írásbeli indoklással értékel;
- vállalja, hogy az előírt követelmények nem teljesítése esetén, a letöltött ösztöndíjas időszakra vonatkozó, kiutalt ösztöndíjat visszafizeti.


A Programban részt vevő hallgatók részére nettó havi 100.000 Ft/fő ösztöndíj kerül kifizetésre.

Pályázat felsőéves műszaki egyetemi hallgatók számára

Pályázat felsőéves egyetemi és főiskolai hallgatók külföldi nemzetközi konferenciákon-tanulmányúton, diplomamunka előkészítésen, félév áthallgatáson való részvételének támogatására.

A Magyar Mérnökakadémia Alapítvány - Rubik Nemzetközi Alapítvány (MMAA-RNA) pályázatot hirdet kiemelkedő teljesítményt nyújtó magyar állampolgárságú, műszaki és iparművész hallgatók részére 2022. második félévi támogatások elnyerésére. A művészeti jellegű pályázatok bírálatánál előnyt élveznek a műszaki tartalommal harmonizáló pályaművek.

A pályázat célja: azon felsőéves (legalább 4 szemesztert eredményesen befejezett) egyetemi, főiskolai hallgatók bekapcsolódásának elősegítése a nemzetközi szakmai vérkeringésbe, külföldi oktatási intézmények munkájába, akik kiemelkedő szakmai aktivitásukkal, alkotó közreműködésük igazolásával kiérdemelték, hogy az MMAA-RNA támogassa nemzetközi tapasztalatszerzésüket.
Pályázni lehet tanulmányi ösztöndíj résztámogatás; utazási költség, szállás költség, konferencia részvételi díj hozzájárulás címén, amennyiben a megpályázott esemény a pályázati időszakon belül kezdődik meg.

400 needy people recieved warm meal at Bánki Faculty in the field-work of the Humanitarian Response Manager training

The Óbuda University Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering along with the Hungarian Baptist Aid provided warm meal for needy residents of Budapest and its 8th district on Saturday, January 29, 2022 as part of the field-work of the students in the Humanitarian Response Manager special training. About 400 people recieved warm meal at the event, and the remaining amount was delivered and distributed to one of the homeless shelters of the Hungarian Baptist Aid.

During the practice of our unique training in the country, the students showed how to set up and operate a cooking point in a possible disaster situation, as well as how to provide and feed those in need. In addition, other practical social activities were presented, which were attended by social workers from the Hungarian Baptist Aid, as well as their medical team and ambulance car.

ICCECIP 2021 international scientific conference

The ICCECIP 2021 - 3rd International Conference on Central European Critical Infrastructure Protection was held this year on 15th November. This year’s conference was the third after the 2019 and 2020 ones. This event was part of the Hungarian Science Festival. It was organized by the Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering of the Óbuda University, Milton Friedman University and Batthyány Lajos Foundation in a historical place of the Castle, in the Villa of Lónyai-Hatvany. The motto of this year’s conference is “Kinetic and cyber tools in the critical infrastructure protection”.

The conference chief patron in this year like in previous years was Szilárd Németh Deputy Minister of Ministry of Defence, Hungary. The conference scientific patron was Prof. Dr Miklós Maróth the President of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network who supported the conference series continuously in the last few years. The conference language was English, it was organized in a hybrid form in accordance to the recommendation of the COVID situation. On behalf of the chief patron Dr Ferenc Attila Varga colonel, Head of Department of the MOD Department of Defense Administration, Hungary held a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. He welcomed all the participants of the conference. Prof. Dr Zoltán Rajnai Honorary chair of the conference, dean of the Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering had greeted the conference participants in his opening remark. After it the rector of the Milton Friedman University, Dr János Perényi delivered his opening speech. The final remark of the opening ceremony was interpreted by István Pócza on behalf of the host, Batthyány Lajos Foundation.

The program continued with plenary lectures. The first plenary speaker was Prof. Dr Alexis Rusinek Attaché of the French Embassy in Budapest. He was followed by Prof. Dr Tibor Kovács associate professor of Óbuda University then Dr Kostiantyn Afanasenko associate professor of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, Ukraine stood up for his presentation. The next plenary speaker was Dr Robert C. Castel the scientific associate of the Israel National Parks Authority, Israel, then the final plenary speaker was Prof. Dr Kornélia Lazányi professor of Óbuda University, who closed the plenary session with her excellent speech.

In this 1-day planned conference the organizers delivered 21 presentations included plenary speeches too, on Individual Security, Cyber Security, Physical Security and Political Security of Critical Infrastructure Protection. In the poster session, it was displayed several different research area results on eight posters. The success of the conference was confirmed by several foreign participants. Next to the hungarians there were participants from Poland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Morocco, France, Iraq, Algeria, Syria, Izrael and China. The speakers represented by 16 universities and 3 associations. The scientific results of the conference speeches and posters will be published in article form in different journals, like Defence Review, Interior Review, Military Technique, National Security Review, Military Logistic, Közelítések, Safety and Security Sciences Review, Aeronautical Science Bulletins are Hungarian scientifical journals, also the Critical Infrastructure Protection Review and Cyber Security Review British scientifical journals, the Security Engineering of Anthropogenic Objects és Rzeczocnawce/Engineering Exper Polish scientifical journal, Transactions of the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava Safety Engineering Series Bohemian scientifical Journal and the European Journal of Materials Science and Engineering Romanian scientifical Journal.

As part of the closing ceremony Prof Dr Zoltán Rajnai, dean of Bánki, Honorary chair of the conference in his closing speech thanked for the speakers and poster presenters, all the participants of the event and also thaned for the organizer group and he gave highlighted thanks for the organizing of the event for Dr Tunde Anna Kovacs chair of the international organization board, for Dr Zoltán Nyikes director of the international organization board and István Pócza the professional program director of the host.

The honorary chair in addition invited the participants for the fourth ICCECIP 2022 event, which will be held in November 2022 as part of the conference series.

Speaker of the Namibian National Assembly visited Bánki Donát Faculty

Prof. Peter Hitjitevi Katjavivi, Speaker of the Namibian National Assembly and the head of the sustentative body of Namibia University of Science and Technology together with his wife Jane Katjavivi and Cornelia Tjaondjo, Special Assistant to the Speaker visit Bánki Donát Faculty on 24th of September, 2021. The president came to a governmental invitation onto Hungary, and stop by Africa Research Institute at the Doctoral School of Safety and Security Sciences between his programs.

Researchers' Night program series was going on on this day on Óbuda University thus the Professor attended some programs of the Bánki Donát Faculty. He inspected the pneumobiles built by our students among other things and he also tried the air driven train.

Webinar in Cybersecurity 2021 Summary Report

The International Conference on Cybersecurity 2021 was held online on the 30th of September. The webinar was organized by Dr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc Dai, Lecturer at Doctoral School on Safety and Security Sciences - Óbuda University, and Mr. Darko Obradovic, Executive Secretary of INIS - University of Belgrade.

The conference started with the welcoming speeches of chairpersons: Prof. Dr. Rajnai Zoltán, Dean of Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering - Óbuda University (Hungary) that introduced Cyber co-ordination on government level; Prof. Dr. Darko Trifunovic, Director, Institute for National and International Security (Serbia) representing contemporary challenges in Cybersecurity; and Prof. Dr. Gordan Akrap, Director, Institute for Hybrid Warfare (Croatia) that shed light on cyber warfare in the context of modern and emerging security challenges.

This forum aimed to bring together Ph.D. students, researchers, scientists, and professionals to discuss innovative ideas and diverse topics in the Cybersecurity era. The webinar was joined by participants from Albania, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, Hungary, Jordan, and Serbia. The attendees benefited in many ways from this conference. They addressed to the audience, and shared knowledge and rich experience on diverse topics of Cybersecurity. Furthermore, the selected scientific papers will be published in a special issue of the “SECURITY SCIENCE JOURNAL” - open access, peer-reviewed international interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary journal published by the Institute for National and International Security (Serbia), The Europa Institute, Bar-Ilan University (Israel), The Research Institute for European, American Studies (Greece), and St. George Association - National Security and Future (Croatia).

In the end, keynote speakers expressed special gratitude to the organizers and extended appreciation to all the attendees for making this event fruitful and promising.

Summary of the SATCIP 2021 conference

During 24-25 August 2021 the Óbuda University Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering hosted the SATCIP 2021 international scientifical conference and workshop. The conference and workshop were organized by Óbuda University and Subotica Tech College of Applied Sciences supported by NATO SPS (Science for Peace and Security Programme). The speakers and participants next to the organizers (Hungary and Serbia) joined the conference from Poland, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, France, Romania. Professor Alexis Rusinek, attache of the scientific and academic cooperation of the French embassy also participated in the event at the invitation of the organizers.

The event agrees with the goal of NATO SPS in the field of science and technology and being the main instrument to allow researchers from NATO and Partner nations to maintain the technological edge and to stay at the forefront of knowledge. The NATO SPS ARW conference program included several research areas such as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Communication Systems, Material Sciences, Sensors and detectors, Autonomy and Counter-autonomy and Technological Convergence.

The opening was held by the dean of Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering of Óbuda University Prof. Dr Zoltán Rajnai and the director of Subotica Tech College of Applied Sciences Dr Igor Fürstner. At the pandemic situation, the event was held in hybrid mode. The outlander speakers and participants were attended via online and featured their presentations.

During the two days of the event, there were six plenary lectures and in 6 blocks there were 35 presentations. The 7th block was the workshop program. The topic of the workshop was one of the wildly important problems of our quotidian life, which is the protection possibilities against the blast terror attacks. The expert lecture highlighted the complexity of the advanced security-related technologies in the protection against terror attacks on critical infrastructures.

The event was closed by the summary of Dr Igor Fürstner from Subotica Tech. The director appreciated the high scientific level and research results of all the presenters and their lectures. He remarked that after listened numerous research results and reviews he can concluded that critical infrastructure protection is a diversified topic with several linking points between the research areas. He thanked the organizers for the continuous work to the last one and half years. He asked the speakers to publish the presented research results in the Springer edited conference book.

InnoVeTAS 2021 international conference was successfully held

On 13th of May InnoVeTAS 2021 international conference was successfully held online by the Institute of Mechatronics and Vehicle Engineering supported by Emerson Automation FCP Kft. at Óbuda University Bánki Donát Faculty.

The main goal of InnoVeTAS 2021 conference is to provide an opportunity for today’s innovative vehicles and for professionals working in the development of industrial automation to present their results and share their experience in the following areas:
- development, production and maintenance of state of the art innovative vehicles;
- measurement and control technology applications;
- industrial automation solutions;
- protection of intellectual property of innovations;
- theoretical and practical aspects of Digital Transformation;
- the science and practical application of the Internet of Things (IoT);
- development of “student-made” vehicles.

Representatives of Algeria, Czech Republic, Iraq, Hungary, Romania and Syria were presented more than 17 scientific lectures. The presentations will be published (Q3) in Journal of Physics: Conference Series.

Associates of Óbuda University presented three lectures:

- László Juhász, László Pokorádi: Industry 4.0 and Modern Maintenance in Today’s Hungarian Vehicle Industry;
- Tamás Szakács: A dynamic model of a pneumobile vehicle;
- László Pokorádi: Probabilistic Uncertainty Analysis of Reliability of Systems with Complex Interconnections.

In addition to his presentation Dr. Tamás Szakács provided a section chair.
